Crispy Tahu Celup Telur Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 5 pieces of tofu, cut into 4 slices each
  • All-purpose seasoning flour, as needed
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • Cooking oil, for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Tofu:
    Begin by cutting the tofu into slices, each about 4 pieces per block. Ensure that the slices are even to ensure uniform cooking.

  2. Season the Tofu:
    Coat each tofu slice thoroughly with the all-purpose seasoning flour. This step will create a flavorful crust once fried.

  3. Prepare the Egg Mixture:
    In a bowl, crack the egg and whisk it until it is well combined. Add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper to the egg mixture, and stir to incorporate.

  4. Heat the Oil:
    Pour enough cooking oil into a frying pan to cover the bottom with a thin layer. Heat the oil over medium heat until it is hot but not smoking.

  5. Dip and Fry the Tofu:
    Take each floured tofu slice and dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring it is fully coated. Carefully place the coated tofu slices into the hot oil. Fry them until they are golden brown and crispy, turning them occasionally for even cooking.

  6. Serve:
