Martabak Tahu with Peanut Sambal
Ingredients:
- 3 blocks of yellow tofu
- 1 large egg
- 1 packet of pecel kacang (peanut spice mix)
- Spring roll wrappers, as needed
- Chopped green onions, as needed
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- Seasoning, to taste
Instructions:

-
Begin by thoroughly washing the tofu. Once clean, allow it to drain well. After draining, crumble the tofu into small pieces using a fork or your hands.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled tofu with the egg. Mix well until the egg is fully incorporated.
-
Add the chopped green onions and seasoning to the tofu mixture. Stir until everything is evenly distributed.
-
Lay out a spring roll wrapper on a flat surface. Place a portion of the tofu mixture in the center of the wrapper. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling and then roll it up tightly to form a square shape. Repeat with the remaining filling and wrappers.
-
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the prepared tofu squares until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides.
-
Remove the martabak tahu from the pan and drain on paper towels.
-
To prepare the sambal, dissolve the pecel kacang mix in a small amount of hot water, adjusting the consistency to your liking.
-
Serve the martabak tahu warm with the peanut sambal for dipping. Enjoy!
