- 2 bowls bamboo shoots, sliced
- 2 packets coconut milk powder
- 200 grams beef, cut into cubes
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 liters water
- 7 pieces of brown tofu, cut in half
- Spice Paste:
- Salt and sugar to taste
- 3 cloves garlic
- 5 shallots
- 2 candlenuts
- A thumb-sized piece of ginger
- A thumb-sized piece of turmeric
- A thumb-sized piece of galangal
- 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
Instructions:
- In a large pot, boil the beef in water until tender.
- Once the beef is cooked and tender, add the spice paste, coconut milk powder, and tofu. Stir and bring to a boil.
- Add the bamboo shoots, coconut milk powder, and bay leaves to the pot. Continue to cook until everything is heated through and the flavors meld together.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and sugar as needed.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
