Spicy Telor Balado Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • For the Spice Paste:
    • 4 shallots
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1 tomato
    • 1/2 ounce curly red chilies (or to taste)
  • Cooking oil (as needed)
  • Water (as needed)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Eggs:

    • Begin by boiling the eggs until they are fully cooked. Once done, peel the eggs and set them aside.
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the peeled eggs until their skins turn crispy and golden brown. Remove the eggs from the oil and set them aside.

  3. Combine Ingredients:

    • Add a small amount of water to the pan with the spice paste, then stir in the granulated sugar and salt. Allow the mixture to simmer, letting the flavors meld together. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  4. Final Touches:

    • Once the spice mixture has reached the desired taste, turn off the heat.
    • Gently stir in the fried eggs, ensuring they are well-coated with the spicy paste.
  5. Serve:

    • Your Spicy Telor Balado is now ready to enjoy! Serve it warm with steamed rice or as a flavorful side dish.
