Tahu Tumis Daging Pete

Ingredients

White tofu 2 blocks (approx. 200 g)
Lean ground beef 100 g
Pete (stink bean) 100 g
Garlic 3 cloves
Bird’s eye chili 3 pieces
Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp
Sweet soy sauce 1 tbsp
Oyster sauce 1 tbsp
Table salt ½ tbsp
White pepper ⅓ tbsp
Water As needed
Corn oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Begin by finely chopping the garlic and bird’s eye chili. Heat the corn oil in a pan over medium heat, then sauté the garlic and chili until fragrant.
  2. Add the lean ground beef to the pan and stir-fry until it changes color, ensuring it’s cooked through.
  3. Once the beef is browned, pour in enough water to simmer the meat. Cook until the beef is tender.
  4. Gently add the pete and cubed tofu to the pan, mixing well to incorporate the ingredients.
  5. Add the sweet soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, white pepper, and oyster sauce. Stir to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed and cook until the flavors meld together.
  6. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. Once satisfied, remove from heat and serve warm.
