Sapo Tahu

Ingredients

Red Onion 1
Oyster Sauce 1 tablespoon
Sesame Oil ½ tablespoon
Fish Sauce 1 tablespoon
Sugar To taste
Salt To taste
Cornstarch (diluted) 1 tablespoon
Dory Fish 300g
Shrimp 200g
Carrot 1, sliced
Tofu 200g
Quail Eggs 4, boiled
Green Onion 2, chopped
All-Purpose Flour For coating
Cornstarch For coating

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fish and Tofu: Coat the dory fish with all-purpose flour, then fry until half-cooked. Set aside. Next, coat the tofu with cornstarch and fry until golden. Set aside again.

  2. Cook the Shrimp: Fry the shrimp until half-cooked and set aside.

  3. Sauté Aromatics: Finely chop the garlic and red onion. In a pan, heat a bit of oil and sauté the chopped garlic and onion until fragrant, then add the chopped green onion.

  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the previously fried shrimp to the pan, followed by the sliced carrot.

  5. Season the Dish: Pour in water and add seasoning to taste. Adjust the flavor as necessary.

  6. Thicken the Sauce: Once the taste is right, mix in the diluted cornstarch and stir until the mixture comes to a boil and thickens.

  7. Finish the Dish: Gently incorporate the boiled quail eggs, the fried dory fish, and the tofu into the sauce. Allow it to simmer until the sauce reduces slightly.

  8. Serve: Once ready, transfer to a serving dish and enjoy your delicious Sapo Tahu!
