Pepes Tahu Isi Telor Asin

Ingredients

Tahu 5 pieces
Telor Asin 1, can be halved or whole depending on preference
Daun Bawang (sliced) To taste
Daun Pisang For wrapping
Spice Mixture
Bawang Putih (garlic) 3 cloves
Bawang Merah (red onion) 2 cloves
Kemiri (candlenut) 1 piece
Gula (sugar) To taste
Garam (salt) To taste
Royco (seasoning powder) 1/2 packet
Penyedap Rasa (flavor enhancer) To taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by blending the tahu until smooth, and separately blend the spice mixture of garlic, red onion, and candlenut until fine.
  2. Combine the blended tahu and spice mixture in a bowl. Add sugar, salt, Royco seasoning, and flavor enhancer, then adjust to your taste.
  3. Fold in the sliced daun bawang until evenly distributed in the mixture.
  4. Take 2 tablespoons of the mixture and place it on a piece of daun pisang. Add a piece of telor asin in the center—either halved or whole based on your preference. Wrap securely.
  5. Prepare a steamer by bringing water to a boil. Once boiling, carefully place the wrapped pepes into the steamer and steam for approximately 20 minutes.
  6. Once cooked, your Pepes Tahu Isi Telor Asin is ready to be enjoyed, offering a delightful combination of flavors!
