Instructions:
For the Tempe Steak:
- Steam the Tempe: Steam the tempe for about 15 minutes until tender.
- Prepare the Spice Mixture: While steaming, blend the garlic, shallots, black pepper, coriander, salt, and sugar until smooth.
- Mash the Tempe: Once steamed, mash the tempe until it reaches a fine consistency.
- Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix the mashed tempe with flour, beaten egg, and the prepared spice mixture until well combined.
- Form the Steaks: Divide the mixture into two portions and shape each into a patty.
- Fry the Steaks: Heat the butter in a pan and fry the tempe patties until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
For the Sauce:
- Sauté Aromatics: In the same pan, add butter and sauté the sliced onion, shallots, and garlic until fragrant.
