Spicy Sweet Grilled Nile Tilapia and Tempeh

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mortar, grind together the turmeric, coriander, and a pinch of salt until smooth. Clean the Nile tilapia thoroughly and marinate with the spice mixture.

  2. Make the Spice Paste: In a separate bowl, blend garlic, shallots, small chilies, large chilies, and roasted candlenuts with some salt and sugar until you achieve a paste. Sauté this mixture in a little oil until fragrant, adding a splash of water and sweet soy sauce to create a sauce.

  3. Combine and Marinate: Gently add the marinated Nile tilapia and chopped tempeh into the sautéed spice mixture. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, letting the flavors meld together.
