Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tempeh: Cut the tempeh into small cubes. In a frying pan, heat a small amount of cooking oil over medium heat and briefly fry the tempeh until lightly golden. Set aside.

  2. Prepare the Mushrooms: Clean the round mushrooms, then cut each mushroom into four pieces and wash them thoroughly.

  3. Chop the Vegetables: Wash the long green beans, then cut them into shorter pieces. Similarly, wash the green chilies and bird’s eye chilies, and slice them diagonally. Finally, peel the garlic and shallots, wash them, and slice them thinly.

  4. Stir-Fry the Ingredients: In the same pan, add a little more oil if necessary. Sauté the sliced shallots, garlic, green chilies, and bird’s eye chilies until fragrant.

  5. Add the Vegetables: Incorporate the long green beans and round mushrooms into the pan. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.

  6. Combine with Tempeh: Add the fried tempeh to the pan. Season with salt, soy sauce, and granulated sugar. Continue to stir-fry for another 5 to 10 minutes, ensuring all the ingredients are well combined and the flavors meld together.

  7. Serve: Once everything is well cooked and seasoned, remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. Enjoy hot with a side of steaming white rice for a complete meal.

This Oseng Tempe & Jamur Bulat is not only a wholesome and satisfying dish but also a fantastic way to experience the rich flavors of Indonesian cuisine. Enjoy this easy-to-make recipe as a delightful addition to your meals! 😊
