Steak Tempe with Savory Sauce

Ingredients

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Tempeh:

    • Cut the tempeh into smaller pieces as per your preference.
    • Steam the tempeh until softened.
    • Mash the steamed tempeh until smooth. Combine it with all-purpose flour, minced garlic, pepper, and salt that have been previously ground together.
    • Mix everything until the dough is smooth and can be shaped.
    • Shape the tempeh mixture into steak-like pieces according to your desired shape.
  2. Cooking the Tempeh:

    • Heat a non-stick pan (Teflon) with a small amount of oil and margarine.
    • Fry the tempeh steaks until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce:

    • Slice the onion (or shallots) into thin pieces.
    • Sauté the sliced onion in a pan until fragrant.
    • Add chili sauce, Saori oyster sauce, half a cup of the dissolved Masako seasoning, and a sprinkle of black pepper.
