Crispy Tempe with Egg (Tempe Kriuk Telur)

Ingredients

Tempe, finely chopped 1 slice
Egg, beaten 1/2
Rice flour 4 tablespoons
Mushroom broth To taste
Water As needed

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the mushroom broth in a small amount of water to create a flavorful base.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the dissolved broth with the rice flour and beaten egg. Gradually add water until the mixture reaches a slightly runny consistency.
  3. Fold in the finely chopped tempeh until well-coated in the batter.
  4. Ensure the batter is thin enough so that the tempeh can fry up crispy when cooked.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan and carefully drop spoonfuls of the batter-coated tempeh into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy.
