Simple Perkedel Tempe Recipe

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Tempe 2 packets
Garlic 2 cloves
Salt To taste
Coriander To taste
All-purpose flour A little
Water As needed
Cooking oil For frying

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing the tempe; cut it into smaller pieces for easier mashing. Use a mortar and pestle or a fork to mash the tempe until it reaches a smooth consistency.

  2. Next, crush the garlic and coriander, adding salt to taste. Gradually mix in a little water to create a paste.

  3. Combine this garlic-coriander mixture with the mashed tempe. To bind the ingredients together, sprinkle in a small amount of all-purpose flour.

  4. Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. While the oil is heating, shape the tempe mixture into small balls and flatten them slightly. To prevent sticking, lightly oil your palms before shaping.

  5. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the formed tempe patties into the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides.

  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels before serving. Enjoy your homemade perkedel tempe!

Feel free to customize this recipe by substituting the tempe with tofu if desired, while keeping the same seasoning. Let your creativity shine by making this dish your own!
