Tumis Bawang Tongkol (Stir-Fried Tuna with Shallots)

Shrimp paste (terasi) As needed

Instructions

Step Description
1. Prepare the Ingredients Finely slice all the chilies, tomato, and shallots. Shred the tuna into bite-sized pieces.
2. Sauté the Aromatics Heat some oil in a pan and sauté the sliced shallots, chilies, and shrimp paste (terasi) until fragrant and golden.
3. Add the Tuna Stir in the shredded tuna and mix thoroughly with the sautéed ingredients.
4. Season the Dish Add salt and Royco seasoning powder to taste, then stir well to combine all flavors.
5. Add Water Pour in a small amount of water to prevent the dish from drying out, and continue cooking until fully absorbed.
6. Finish and Serve Once the tuna is heated through and the flavors have melded, remove from heat. Serve hot with a side of steamed rice.
