Instructions

Step Action
1 Combine the Greek seasoning mix with ground black pepper in a small bowl.
2 Generously rub this seasoning mixture onto both sides of the steaks. Set the steaks aside to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
3 Preheat your grill for cooking. If using charcoal, heat for about 30 minutes until the coals are covered with light ash. For a gas grill, heat on high for 10 minutes with the lid closed. Alternatively, you can preheat your oven to broil.
4 While the grill or oven heats, warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
5 Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, for 8–10 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and lightly browned.
6 Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Toss everything together and let cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the tomatoes to soften slightly.
7 Remove the skillet from heat. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season the mixture with additional salt and pepper if desired. Cover the skillet to keep the topping warm while you prepare the steaks.
8 Grill the steaks 4 inches above medium heat for 5–7 minutes per side, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 140°F for medium-rare or 155°F for medium doneness. If using the broiler, cook steaks on a broiler pan, flipping once for even browning.
9 Let the steaks rest for 2 minutes after grilling to allow the juices to redistribute.
10 Serve the steaks on individual plates, generously topped with the warm tomato and mushroom mixture.

Tips for Success

  1. Meat Temperature: For the best flavor, aim for medium-rare (140°F) doneness for a tender, juicy steak.
  2. Vegetable Variations: Try adding sliced zucchini or bell peppers to the mushroom mixture for a more colorful and nutrient-packed topping.
  3. Serving Suggestions: Pair this dish with a light Mediterranean salad or some roasted potatoes seasoned with olive oil, garlic, and oregano for a complete meal.

Enjoy the harmony of flavors and the simplicity of preparation—perfect for a family dinner or an elegant date night.
