Prepare the Oreo Biscuits:
Start by separating the creamy portion from the Oreo biscuits. Collect all the biscuits in a mixing bowl and grind them into a fine powder using a mixer grinder. Set aside. -
Grate the Paneer:
Grate the homemade paneer and grind it further until it forms a fine paste. -
Mix Ingredients:
Add the powdered Oreo biscuits and the cream (from the Oreos) to the grated paneer. Knead the mixture thoroughly to combine everything. -
Cook the Mixture:
In a hot kadai (wok), add the butter, condensed milk, and cardamom powder. Stir the ingredients on medium-low heat until the mixture becomes bubbly. -
Combine Paneer and Biscuit Mixture:
Add the prepared paneer and Oreo biscuit mixture to the kadai. Stir well with a spatula, allowing the mixture to cook and thicken. Once it has thickened enough to hold together, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly. -
Shape the Modaks:
Grease a Modak mold lightly with butter. Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls. Press each ball into the mold, shaping them into Modak shapes. Remove any excess mixture from the mold. -
Set the Modaks:
Gently remove the shaped Modaks from the mold and place them on a buttered plate or butter paper to set. -
Serving:
Serve these delicious Oreo Paneer Modaks as prashad during festive occasions or as a sweet treat with a cup of Masala Chai and some Baked Chevdo on the side.
Tip: While shaping the Modaks by hand is possible, using a mold ensures a more uniform shape. However, since no baking or frying is involved in this recipe, the Modaks might be slightly delicate, so handle with care.
