Ingredients

Cabbage (Patta Gobi/ Muttaikose) – shredded 1/4 cup
Sour cream 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken
    Heat the sunflower oil in a small pan (Kadai) over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the cubed chicken breasts to the pan. Season with red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly in the spices.
    Cook the chicken until it is thoroughly cooked, and the pieces are lightly browned and tender. This should take about 10-12 minutes. Once done, remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

    Tip: If you prefer a lighter version, you can grill the chicken instead. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grill the chicken pieces for about 15-20 minutes, until fully cooked.

  2. Prepare the Tostadas
    Place a Tawa (griddle) over medium heat. Lightly toast the corn tortillas until both sides are golden brown and slightly crispy. This should only take 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the tortillas from the heat and set them aside.

  3. Assemble the Tostadas
    Now, let’s assemble the tostadas. Take each corn tortilla and spread a thin, even layer of sour cream over the surface.
    Top the sour cream with the cooked chicken pieces, distributing them evenly across each tortilla.

  4. Add the Toppings
    Sprinkle the shredded cabbage generously over the chicken. The freshness and crunch of the cabbage will provide a delightful contrast to the tender chicken and creamy sour cream.
    Drizzle with fresh lime juice to add a burst of tanginess.

  5. Garnish and Serve
    Finish by garnishing with freshly chopped coriander leaves for a touch of green and added flavor.
