Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, and tomato ketchup. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Cook the Black Soy Beans:

    • Cook the black soybeans in a pressure cooker for about 20 minutes until soft. Once cooked, release the pressure naturally, drain any excess water, and set the beans aside.
  3. Prepare the Patty Mixture:

    • In a large bowl, mash the boiled potatoes. Add the cooked black soybeans, finely chopped onions, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper. Mix everything well.
    • Stir in the corn flour, red chili powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, whole wheat bread crumbs, and crushed walnuts. Mix thoroughly to form a dough-like consistency.
  4. Form Patties:

    • Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties, pressing gently to form uniform thickness.
  5. Cook the Patties:

    • Heat a little butter in a pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden and crispy.
  6. Assemble the Burger:

    • Toast the burger buns with butter until they are lightly browned. Spread the prepared sauce on the bottom of each bun.
    • Place a patty on the bottom bun, top with pickled onions, and cover with the top bun.
  7. Serve:

    • Serve your Black Bean Walnut Burger hot with a side of fries or a fresh salad. Enjoy this nutritious and flavorful vegetarian delight!
