Instructions:
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the urad dal atta, milk, and ghee. Mix well, then rub the flour mixture with your palms for 3-4 minutes to help it blend.

Heat the ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan or kadai. Add the prepared flour mixture and stir continuously on medium heat until the mixture turns brown in color.

Meanwhile, combine the sugar and water in a saucepan. Prepare a sugar syrup with a 1-string consistency and set it aside.

When the flour mixture begins to brown, add the fried gond (edible gum) and grated khoya to the pan. Sauté for a few minutes to blend the flavors.
-
Turn off the flame and add the chopped mixed nuts to the mixture. Stir well to combine.
-
Allow the mixture to cool slightly. Once it reaches a lukewarm temperature, mix in the prepared sugar syrup. Stir everything together until well incorporated.
-
Let the mixture set for a while. Once it has cooled and firmed up, shape it into your preferred form.
-
Garnish with cashew nuts and serve the Gujarati Style Adadiya Pak with a cup of masala chai or coffee.
