Achari Chicken Tikka Wrap Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Wrap:

  • 4 Whole Wheat Tawa Parathas
  • 4 Lettuce leaves (or spinach leaves)
  • 1 Tomato, pulp removed and chopped
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons Nutralite Achari Mayo

For the Chicken Tikka:

  • 300 grams Boneless chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 tablespoon Gram flour (besan)
  • 1 teaspoon Ajwain (Carom seeds)
  • 1 tablespoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania)
  • 4 tablespoons Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
  • Salt, to taste

Preparation Time:

  • 2 hours (includes marinating time)

Cooking Time:

  • 45 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    In a mixing bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, and salt. Set aside for about 1 hour to allow the flavors to infuse.

  2. Prepare the Spice Mix:
    Heat a saucepan over medium flame and add ajwain (carom seeds). Let them sizzle for a few seconds, then lower the flame. Add gram flour (besan) and stir well. Turn off the heat and set aside to cool.

  3. Prepare the Chicken Tikka Marinade:
    To the marinated chicken, add yogurt and the ground spice powders (red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, and coriander powder). Add the cooled gram flour mixture and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate the mixture for another hour to allow the flavors to meld.

  4. Grill the Chicken:
    Preheat a grill pan and lightly grease it with oil. Once hot, skewer the marinated chicken pieces onto wooden skewers. Grill the chicken on all sides until charred and cooked through. Set aside.

  5. Make the Parathas:
    Prepare whole wheat tawa parathas using your preferred method or opt for tortillas if you prefer. Place each paratha on a flat surface.

  6. Assemble the Wrap:
    On each paratha, place a lettuce leaf, sliced onions, chopped tomatoes, and a portion of the grilled chicken tikka. Drizzle Nutralite Achari Mayo over the chicken and other ingredients. Roll up the paratha tightly and secure it with foil.

  7. Serve:
    Serve the Achari Chicken Tikka Wrap as a tasty snack or light lunch, paired with a refreshing beverage like Mulled Apple Juice or a Chickoo Banana Date Smoothie.
