Ingredients:
- 1 cup rice puttu (or wheat puttu), crumbled
- 1 whole egg
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds (rai/kadugu)
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 1 pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
- 2 green chilies, slit/cut
- 1/4 teaspoon black urad dal (split)
- 2 teaspoons oil
- Salt, to taste

Cook Time: 15 minutes
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a kadai (wok) over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle. Then add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Add the split urad dal and sautรฉ until it turns light brown.
- Stir in the green chilies, curry leaves, and turmeric powder. Crack the egg into the pan and scramble it for about half a minute until itโs cooked through.
- Add the crumbled puttu and salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Sprinkle a little water over the mixture and mix again. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low flame for a minute. This will make the puttu softer.
