Spaghetti Arrabiata Pasta Recipe
Spicy Italian Pasta

Description:
Spaghetti Arrabiata is a quick, flavorful Italian pasta dish with a spicy twist. A simple, freshly made tomato sauce is infused with garlic, onion, basil, and red chili flakes, making it a perfect fit for those who love bold, spicy flavors. This vegetarian dish is perfect for a satisfying lunch or dinner.

Cuisine: Italian
Course: Lunch
Diet: Vegetarian

Ingredients:

  • 350 grams Durum Wheat Spaghetti Pasta
  • 500 grams Tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Basil leaves, roughly torn
  • 6 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Red Chilli flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, for garnish

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Spaghetti: Bring a large stockpot of water to a boil, adding a teaspoon of salt. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente (firm to the bite). Drain and rinse under cold water. Drizzle with a little olive oil to prevent sticking and set aside.

  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a wok or heavy-bottomed pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until softened and fragrant.

  3. Make the Arrabiata Sauce: Add the chopped tomatoes, red chili flakes, salt, sugar, and basil leaves to the pan. Sauté the mixture until the tomatoes soften and release their juices. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water to create a saucy consistency. Bring the sauce to a boil and simmer until it thickens slightly.

  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce, tossing well to coat the pasta with the arrabiata sauce. Cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Adjust seasoning and spice level as desired.

  5. Serve: Transfer the Spaghetti Arrabiata to a serving bowl and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve hot for a delicious, satisfying meal.

Serving Suggestion:
