Ingredients:
- 300 grams Mutton (with bone)
- 2 Turnips, cut into small cubes
- 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds (Saunf)
- 1 inch Ginger, chopped
- 1 pinch Asafoetida (Hing)
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
- Mustard oil (for cooking)
- Salt, to taste

Instructions:
- Heat a pressure cooker and add mustard oil. Once the oil is hot, add a pinch of asafoetida and mutton pieces. Sauté the mutton for 10 to 12 minutes, allowing it to brown slightly.
- Add salt to taste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, fennel seeds, and a cup of water. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes before covering the pressure cooker. Cook the mutton for about 4 whistles.
- Once the pressure releases naturally, remove the lid. Add the turnip cubes and stir to combine. Pressure cook for an additional 2 whistles.
- After the final cooking, allow the pressure to release naturally before opening the cooker.
- Serve the Kashmiri Mutton Gogji Syun hot, paired with Methi Lachha Paratha and Jeera Pulao for a complete and satisfying meal.
