Instructions

  1. Grease an 8 x 8 square pan with 1/2 teaspoon of ghee. The pan should have a minimum of a 2-inch rim, then set it aside.
  2. Place a pan on medium heat and roast the sesame seeds until they turn light golden. Once done, turn off the heat and allow the sesame seeds to cool.
  3. In a separate saucepan, heat 1 teaspoon of ghee over medium heat. Add the crushed jaggery to the pan and stir until it melts. Reduce the heat to low and continue stirring until the jaggery caramelizes. To check the consistency, drop a small amount into cold water; it should form a hard ball.
  4. Turn off the heat and quickly stir in the roasted sesame seeds until they are fully combined with the melted jaggery.
  5. While the mixture is still hot, immediately spread it evenly into the greased pan. Use a flat spatula to smoothen the surface.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool completely to set.
  7. Once fully cooled, cut the Til Chikki into desired shapes and serve as a healthy sweet treat, perfect for festivals or any time you want a nutritious snack.

Serving Suggestions
