Ingredients:

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Servings: 4-5
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dosa Batter: Start by preparing the dosa batter according to your usual recipe or using store-bought idli dosa batter.
- Cook the Raw Banana: In a pressure cooker, add the raw banana with some water and turmeric powder. Cook for 4 whistles or until the banana is soft. Once done, peel off the skin and chop the banana into small pieces.
- Grind the Banana Paste: In a blender, grind the boiled banana along with the fresh coconut and a little water to form a smooth paste.
- Mix the Batter: Add the ground banana-coconut paste to the prepared dosa batter and mix well. Check the salt and adjust as needed.
- Cook the Dosa: Heat a skillet or tawa on medium-high heat. Pour a ladleful of the batter in the center and spread it evenly in a circular motion to form an uttapam-like dosa.
- Fry the Dosa: Drizzle about a teaspoon of oil around the edges and on top of the dosa. Cook the dosa on both sides, turning once the edges turn golden and slightly crispy.
- Optional Crispiness: For extra crispiness, cook the dosa on medium heat, ideally using an iron skillet, which helps achieve a perfect texture.
- Serve: Serve your Raw Banana Dosa hot with South Indian chutneys, such as coconut chutney or tomato onion chutney, for a delicious breakfast.
