Raw Banana Stir Fry (Kealyachi Bhaji)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Raw bananas
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Grated coconut
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida (hing)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Oil, as needed

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Wash the raw bananas thoroughly. Apply some oil on your hands to avoid sticky sap while peeling them. Peel the bananas and cut them into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until the onions become soft and translucent.
  3. Add the cut raw banana pieces, salt, and a little water. Cover the pan and cook until the raw bananas become tender.
  4. Once the bananas are cooked, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, asafoetida, and grated coconut. Stir well and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with rice and dal or chapati for a satisfying lunch.
