Recipe: 5-Minute Almond Cake
Category: Desserts
Servings: 8

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Peeled almonds 200g
All-purpose flour 200g
Butter 200g
Granulated sugar 200g
Eggs 3
Grand Marnier 80g
Lemon zest 1
Baking powder 10g
Salt Pinch
Powdered sugar (for dusting) As needed

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your static oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare your baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, peeled almonds, cubed butter, 3 whole eggs, baking powder, a pinch of salt, and the freshly grated zest of one lemon.

  3. Mix the Ingredients: Add the Grand Marnier to the bowl and mix everything together until smooth and well-blended. The mixture should be thick but smooth.

  4. Pour and Level: Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan. Use a spatula to evenly spread the mixture across the pan, leveling the surface.

  5. Bake the Cake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 50 minutes. If you prefer using a fan-assisted (convection) oven, set it to 160°C (320°F) and bake for about 40 minutes. Check the cake’s doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center – if it comes out clean, it’s done. If the top of the cake starts to brown too quickly, cover it with aluminum foil for the last 10 minutes of baking.

  6. Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool slightly in the pan. Afterward, remove the cake from the pan and place it on a cooling rack to cool completely. Before serving, dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar.

Enjoy your delightful 5-Minute Almond Cake, a perfect treat for any occasion! This easy and quick dessert combines the richness of almonds and butter with a hint of lemon and the warmth of Grand Marnier, offering a flavorful indulgence that’s sure to impress.
