Ingredients:

Filo Pastry 1 pack
Pears 300g
Brie 400g
Butter 50g
Cinnamon Sticks 1 tablespoon
Acacia Honey 2 tablespoons

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pears:
    Peel the pears and cut them into very small cubes. Place the diced pears into a bowl of cold water to prevent browning.

  2. Prepare the Filo Pastry:
    Lay out the filo pastry and stack three sheets on top of each other. Using scissors, cut the stacked sheets into squares approximately 7×7 cm in size. You should get about 32 squares.

  3. Arrange on Baking Tray:
    Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Arrange the filo squares on the tray and brush each square with melted butter.

  4. Assemble the Millefoglie:
    Cut the Brie cheese into thin slices and place a few slices on top of each filo square. Add a spoonful of the prepared pear cubes on top of the cheese. Continue layering in this way to form a millefoglie with four layers. The final layer should consist of Brie and pears, leaving the top exposed.

  5. Bake:
    Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). Place the tray in the oven and bake for 3 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the filo is golden brown.

  6. Make Cinnamon Honey Sauce:
    In a small saucepan, combine the acacia honey and cinnamon sticks. Gently heat the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the honey has melted and infused with the cinnamon.

  7. Serve:
    Once baked, remove the millefoglie from the oven. Drizzle the warm cinnamon-honey sauce over the top using a spoon, letting the sauce soak into the layers of filo pastry.

  8. Enjoy:
    Serve immediately while the millefoglie is still warm, with a side of your favorite drinks or as an elegant starter for your meal.
