Nutella Bundt Cake Recipe

Category: Desserts
Serves: 6

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Eggs 220g
All-purpose flour 300g
Ricotta cheese (whole milk) 250g
Granulated sugar 120g
Vanilla bean 1
Fine salt A pinch
Corn oil 50g
Baking powder 16g
Nutella 150g
Powdered sugar (for dusting) To taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the batter:
Start by beating the eggs with an electric mixer for about 3 minutes until they become frothy. Once frothy, add a pinch of fine salt and continue to beat for another 5 minutes. The mixture should become light, fluffy, and airy.

  2. Add flavor:
Slice open the vanilla bean and scrape out the seeds. Add the vanilla seeds to the egg mixture and stir well to incorporate.

  3. Combine with ricotta:
Add the ricotta cheese, making sure it is well-drained. Use the electric mixer to blend the ricotta into the egg mixture until you achieve a smooth and homogeneous batter.

  4. Add the dry ingredients:
In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the batter using a spatula, ensuring everything is evenly combined.

  5. Prepare the cake pan:
Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease a 22 cm bundt pan with butter and lightly flour it, or use a non-stick spray. Pour half of the prepared batter into the pan, smoothing the surface with the spatula.

  6. Add the Nutella:
Carefully spoon the Nutella into the center of the batter in the pan. You can use the back of a spoon or a small spatula to spread it evenly, ensuring that it is well placed but not mixed into the batter.

  7. Finish assembling:
Cover the Nutella with the remaining half of the batter, and smooth the surface again with a spatula.

  8. Bake:
Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready.

  9. Cool and serve:
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then carefully flip it onto a serving plate. Let it cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

This Nutella Bundt Cake is a rich and indulgent dessert that combines the creamy goodness of ricotta with the beloved chocolate-hazelnut spread, making for a truly irresistible treat. Perfect for any occasion, this cake is sure to impress your guests with its moist texture and sweet, decadent flavor. Enjoy!
