Steam the Onions
Begin by bringing water to a boil in a steamer or a pot for steaming. Add the parsley stems, bay leaves, juniper berries, and peppercorns to the water for added flavor. Peel the onions and place them in the steamer, ensuring the onions are covered. Steam them for about 7-8 minutes, or until slightly softened. You can check by inserting a skewer into the center of the onions to ensure they are tender but not fully cooked. -
Prepare the Filling
While the onions are steaming, prepare the vegetable filling. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds. Clean and dice the champignon mushrooms into small cubes. Then, chop the zucchini, carrots, and any other desired vegetables into similar-sized pieces. -
