Maldon salt 5g
Nutella® 90g

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Begin by preparing the dough for the Easter nests. In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, almond flour, all-purpose flour, and Maldon salt. Add the cold cubed butter and, using your hands, mix the ingredients together until they form a homogeneous dough.

  2. Shape the Nests: Take the dough and, using a potato ricer with wide holes, press it to create long, thin strands of dough. Spread these strands out on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, gently arranging them into small, nest-like shapes. Be sure to leave some space between each nest.

  3. Bake the Nests: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) with the fan on. Bake the nests on the middle rack for 15 minutes, or until they turn a golden brown. Once baked, remove the nests from the oven and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.

  4. Fill the Nests: Once the nests have cooled, carefully remove them from the baking tray. Using a piping bag or a small spoon, fill each nest with approximately 15g of Nutella®. Make sure to fill the center generously.

  5. Decorate: To finish, sprinkle the remaining dough crumbs over the Nutella® to create a rustic topping. Optionally, add small chocolate eggs on top for a festive touch.

  6. Serve and Enjoy: Allow the Nutella® to set slightly before serving, and enjoy these sweet and delicious Easter nests!
