Rustic Almond and Nutella® Cake

Ingredients:

Additional brown sugar 15g

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    Begin by preparing the cake batter. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter with the brown sugar. Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture for about 1 minute until it becomes creamy and smooth.

  2. Incorporate the Eggs:
    Add the eggs to the mixture and continue mixing until well incorporated.

  3. Add the Dry Ingredients:
    Turn off the mixer and sift in both the all-purpose flour and almond flour. Stir the ingredients together with a spatula or on a low speed with the mixer until combined.

  4. Add Milk:
    Gradually pour in the milk and stir until the batter is smooth and well-blended.

  5. Prepare the Pan:
    Grease a 22 cm (8.5-inch) round cake pan and dust it with almond flour to prevent sticking. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the surface with a spatula to ensure an even layer.

  6. Bake the Cake:
    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake the cake for about 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Finish the Cake:
    Once baked, let the cake cool slightly before removing it from the pan. Carefully flip the cake onto a cutting board and cut it into 8 equal slices.

  8. Add the Final Touches:
    Lightly dust the right side of each cake slice with powdered sugar. Then, on the left side of each slice, spread approximately 15g of Nutella® to create a delicious hazelnut chocolate topping.

  9. Decorate and Serve:
    To add a refreshing touch, decorate each slice with a raspberry on the Nutella® side. Sprinkle sliced almonds on the other side to finish the cake with a crunchy texture. Serve and enjoy!
