Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Raw Banana:
    Begin by washing and peeling the raw bananas. Slice them thinly into rounds. To prevent the banana slices from turning brown, place them in a bowl of water until ready to use.

  2. Season the Banana Slices:
    Once the bananas are sliced, drain the water and transfer the slices to a bowl. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and rasam powder to the banana slices. Toss well to ensure the spices coat the slices evenly.

  3. Temper the Spices:
    Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Once the mustard seeds start to pop, add the split urad dal, garlic, and curry leaves. SautΓ© for a minute or two until the garlic becomes fragrant.

    Add the seasoned banana slices to the pan. Gently toss the pieces to combine them with the tempering. Lower the heat and cook the bananas, stirring occasionally, to ensure they cook evenly and turn tender.
