Description:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/3 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 apple, finely chopped

Instructions:

1. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
2. In another bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
3. Add the egg to the butter-sugar mixture and mix well until fully incorporated.
4. Gradually stir in half of the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
5. Fold in the chopped nuts, raisins, and diced apple until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
6. Pour in the milk and the remaining dry ingredients, mixing until a thick, sticky dough forms.
7. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto greased baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
8. Flatten the dough slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingers to ensure even baking.
9. Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC), then bake the cookies for 12 to 14 minutes, or until lightly golden brown around the edges.
10. Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
11. Once cooled, store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days for maximum freshness.
