Instructions

  1. Soak the Dal
    Begin by soaking the Arhar dal (Toor Dal) in water for about 30 minutes. This softens the dal and reduces cooking time.

    After soaking, drain the dal and place it in a pressure cooker. Add water, salt, and turmeric powder to the dal. Pressure cook the dal for about 4 whistles on medium heat until it’s tender and well-cooked. Once done, turn off the heat and allow the pressure to release naturally.
