Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
1 Bacon
1 Onion
1/3 Flour
1/2 – 1 Salt
1/4 Pepper
4 cups Milk
12 Hard-boiled eggs
12 Swiss cheese slices
2 cups Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup Fresh parsley

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp.

  2. Remove bacon from skillet with a slotted spoon and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil. Reserve 1/3 cup of the bacon drippings.

  3. In the same skillet with the reserved drippings, sautΓ© the onion until tender.

  4. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper until well blended.

  5. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly.

  6. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook and stir for 2 minutes until thickened. Then, remove it from heat.

  7. Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

  8. Spread 1/2 cup of the sauce in a greased 13x9x2″ baking dish.

  9. Layer the dish with four lasagna noodles, followed by a third of the hard-boiled eggs, bacon, Swiss cheese slices, and sauce. Repeat these layers twice.

  10. Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese.

  11. Bake the lasagna, uncovered, in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until it’s bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden brown.

  12. Once done, sprinkle the lasagna with fresh parsley.

  13. Allow the lasagna to stand for 15 minutes before cutting into it.

  14. Optional: This lasagna can be made the night before and refrigerated. To serve, remove it from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking, then follow the baking instructions as above.
