- 3 cloves garlic
- 5 candlenuts
- 7 bird’s eye chilies
- 5 large red chilies
- 1 teaspoon shrimp paste
- Salt (to taste)
- Sugar (to taste)
- Seasoning powder (to taste)
- Cooking oil
- Fried shallots (for garnish)

- Cut the tofu and tempeh into slices approximately 1 cm thick.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the tofu and tempeh until they are halfway cooked. Once fried, set them aside to drain on paper towels.
