Sautéed Broccoli with Beef Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 10 beef meatballs
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 5 shallots
  • 3 red chilies (adjust to taste)
  • Green onions (to taste)
  • Oyster sauce (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Palm sugar (to taste)
  • Water (as needed)
  • Oil for sautéing

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients:
    Begin by cutting the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Slice the beef meatballs into 2 or 3 pieces each. Finely chop the garlic, shallots, and red chilies. Slice the green onions and set aside.

  2. Sauté Aromatics:
    Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped garlic, shallots, and red chilies. Sauté until fragrant and the shallots are soft and translucent.

  3. Cook Meatballs and Broccoli:
    Add the sliced beef meatballs to the pan and cook until they start to brown. Then, add the broccoli florets. Season the mixture with salt, palm sugar, and oyster sauce. Pour in a small amount of water to help the ingredients cook evenly and allow the flavors to meld.

  4. Simmer and Season:
    Continue cooking until the water has reduced and the broccoli is tender, and the meatballs are fully cooked. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. Stir in the sliced green onions.

  5. Finish and Serve:
    Turn off the heat. Transfer the sautéed broccoli with beef meatballs to a serving dish. Serve hot and enjoy!
