Mom’s Beer Burgers

Description: My mother used to make these at a concession stand she had rented right by a lake. Some people would come to just eat and not swim. The sauce can also be used for hot dogs, etc.
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 8 ounces ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup catsup
- 1/2 cup beer

Instructions:
- Shape the ground beef and turkey mixture into 8 patties.
- Cook the patties as desired, whether it be grilling, frying, broiling, etc.
- Meanwhile, heat the butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced green pepper and onion to the pan and sautΓ© until they become slightly limp.
- Reduce the heat and add the catsup and beer to the pan with the peppers and onions.
- Simmer the sauce until the burgers and buns are ready.
- Pile the sauce onto the cooked burgers and serve hot.
