Description:
This recipe provides a different “swing” on brownies, if you know what I mean. They are delicious and irresistible. I got the recipe from my sister in Iowa–not sure where she got it. Enjoy!

3 | cups chocolate chips |

Instructions:

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the brownie mix package. -
Prepare Brownies:
Follow the package directions to prepare the brownie batter, and bake it in a 9 x 13 inch pan. -
Add Bourbon:
Once the brownies are out of the oven, while still hot, pour 1/3 cup of bourbon evenly over the top. -
Make Frosting:
In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of powdered sugar, 1 stick of butter, and 3 tablespoons of bourbon. Beat until creamy. -
Spread Frosting:
Spread the bourbon frosting evenly over the cooled brownies. -
Melt Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips, 1 tablespoon of butter, and 3 tablespoons of water together until smooth. -
Drizzle Chocolate:
Using a teaspoon, drizzle the melted chocolate mixture over the white bourbon frosting. -
Refrigerate:
Place the brownies in the refrigerator to set the frosting and chocolate drizzle. -
Cut into Bars:
Once completely cooled, cut the brownies into small bars. -
Serve or Freeze:
