Instructions

  1. Prepare the Onion-Tomato Paste:
    Heat oil in a pan and add whole black pepper and cumin seeds. Let them sizzle for about 10 seconds.
    Add the chopped onions and green chilies, and cook until the onions turn golden brown.
    Once the onions are browned, add the peanuts and sauté for about 2 minutes.
    Next, add the chopped tomatoes and mix everything together.
    Cook the mixture until the tomatoes become soft and mushy.
    Once cooked, turn off the heat and let it cool down.
    After cooling, transfer the mixture into a mixer grinder and blend into a smooth paste.

  2. Cook the Broccoli:
    In another pan, heat some oil. Add cumin seeds, red chili powder, and turmeric powder, allowing them to sizzle for about 10 seconds.
    Add the chopped broccoli to the pan and sauté for 6 to 8 minutes until it becomes tender.

  3. Add Paneer and Masalas:
    Once the broccoli is cooked, add the chopped paneer, garam masala powder, and biryani masala. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
    Let it cook for another 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend together.

  4. Combine the Paste and Final Cooking:
    Add the prepared onion-tomato paste to the pan with broccoli and paneer. Stir everything to ensure it’s evenly mixed.
    Add salt and butter, and cook for an additional 5 to 8 minutes.

  5. Finishing Touches:
    Lastly, sprinkle in the kasuri methi and stir it into the dish. Let it cook for another 3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
