Category: Vegan and Vegetarian Recipes
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 medium rutabagas, cleaned and peeled
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 1 cup blue cheese dressing
- 0.25 cup green onions, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
- Wash and peel the rutabagas, removing any skin, and then cut them into wedges.
- Melt the butter by placing a skillet over low heat, allowing the butter to melt gently.
- Add seasonings: Stir in the salt, onion powder, and black pepper into the melted butter to create a flavorful coating for the wedges.
- Coat the rutabaga wedges with the seasoned butter mixture, making sure each wedge is evenly covered for maximum flavor.
- Arrange the wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Coat the wedges: After 30 minutes, remove the rutabaga wedges from the oven and drizzle them with buffalo wing sauce, tossing them to ensure they’re fully coated.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, allowing the buffalo sauce to caramelize and the wedges to become tender and golden.
- Serve: Once baked to perfection, place the rutabaga wedges on a serving plate.
