Ingredients:
- 1 Carrot (Gajjar), washed and peeled
- 1 teaspoon Unsalted Butter
- A pinch of Cumin Powder (Jeera)
- A pinch of Black Pepper Powder
- A pinch of Salt (optional)
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Instructions:
- Begin by cutting the washed and peeled carrot into 1-inch wide and 4-inch long sticks.
- Add the carrot sticks to a pressure cooker with a pinch of salt and 2 tablespoons of water. Cover and cook for one whistle.
- Once the whistle goes off, immediately release the pressure by running the cooker under cold water to stop the cooking process.
- Place a pan on low-medium heat and melt the unsalted butter.
- Add the steamed carrot sticks to the pan and sauté for a couple of minutes, ensuring the butter coats the carrots evenly.
- Sprinkle a pinch of cumin powder or pepper powder over the carrots and, if desired, add a pinch of salt.
- Serve these delicious Buttered Carrot Fingers to your toddlers from 10 months onwards as a finger food or snack, perfect for travel as well!
