Buttered Green Peas with Cumin Powder – For Babies & Toddlers (10 Months and Above)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Green peas (Matar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Butter (Salted)
  • A pinch of Salt
  • A pinch of Cumin powder (Jeera)

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Wash the green peas thoroughly. If using frozen peas, ensure they are completely thawed.
  2. In a pressure cooker, add the peas along with a cup of water and a pinch of salt. Close the lid and cook for 2 whistles, then turn off the heat. Release the pressure immediately.
  3. Once the peas are cooked, remove them from the cooker and set aside.
  4. Heat 1/2 teaspoon of butter in a pan until it melts. Add the cooked peas to the pan and sprinkle with a pinch of cumin powder.
  5. Toss the peas gently in the butter and cumin, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the heat.
  6. Serve the Buttered Green Peas to your baby or toddler (10 months and above) as a finger food or a wholesome snack.
