Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
3 Bacon
1/2 Chorizo sausage
1/2 Ground beef
2 Onions
1 Green pepper
2 cloves Garlic
1 Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp Chili powder
2 tsp Dry mustard
1/2 tsp Ground pepper
1 can (14 oz) Tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) Black beans
1 can (15 oz) Garbanzo beans

Instructions:

  1. Cook Bacon: In a large skillet, cook bacon pieces until they are crispy. Once done, remove from the skillet and drain them well on paper towels.

  2. Brown Meat: In the same skillet, brown the chorizo sausage and ground beef together with the onions over medium heat. Once browned, drain the excess fat and transfer the mixture to a Crock-Pot.

  3. Combine Ingredients: To the Crock-Pot, add the cooked bacon and all the remaining ingredients including diced green pepper, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, dry mustard, ground pepper, canned tomatoes, drained black beans, and drained garbanzo beans. Stir well to combine all the ingredients evenly.

  4. Cook Slowly: Cover the Crock-Pot with its lid and set it to cook on the low setting. Let it cook slowly for 8 to 14 hours, allowing all the flavors to meld together beautifully.

  5. Taste and Adjust: After the cooking time is complete, give the chili a taste and adjust the seasoning according to your preference. You can add more salt, pepper, or spices if desired.

  6. Serve: Once the chili is perfectly seasoned to your liking, it’s ready to be served hot. Ladle it into bowls and garnish with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro, or sliced jalapeños.
