Homemade Pizza with Beef and Corn
Ingredients
For the Dough:
- 250 grams all-purpose flour (I recommend Segitiga Biru brand)
- 10 grams milk powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast (Fermipan brand recommended)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 glass (approximately 200 ml) warm water (room temperature)
- 2 tablespoons margarine (Blueband brand recommended)
For the Beef and Corn Topping:
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 sweet corn, kernels removed
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- Grated cheddar cheese
- Chili sauce
- Mayonnaise
- 100 grams beef (or smoked beef), thinly sliced
- 5 shallots
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon beef bouillon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 2 kaffir lime leaves
- 2 large green chilies
- 2 tablespoons oil for sautéing
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 glass of water
- A pinch of ground black pepper
Instructions
Preparing the Dough:

Activate the Yeast:
Dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for a few minutes until it becomes foamy, indicating that the yeast is active. -
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a dry mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and milk powder. Make a well in the center. -
Combine Wet Ingredients:
Lightly beat the egg and pour it into the well of the dry ingredients. Gradually add the yeast mixture while stirring with a spatula or wooden spoon until a dough forms. -
Knead the Dough:
Knead the dough by hand until it is smooth and elastic. Gradually incorporate the melted margarine into the dough and continue kneading until the dough is no longer sticky and is soft to the touch. -
First Rise:
Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for about 20-30 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
Preparing the Topping:

Sauté Aromatics:
Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the shallots and garlic until fragrant. -
Cook the Beef:
Add the water, diced tomato, salt, cinnamon stick, kaffir lime leaves, sugar, and beef bouillon powder to the pan. Stir well and add the pre-cooked beef slices. Mix in the oyster sauce and ground black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.

Divide the risen dough into two portions. Roll out each portion to fit a 20-22 cm (8-9 inch) pizza pan. Prick the dough all over with a fork. -

Lightly brush the dough with melted margarine. Spread a thin layer of chili sauce and mayonnaise over the dough. Evenly distribute the beef mixture, corn kernels, sliced onion, and diced bell pepper over the dough. Sprinkle generously with grated cheddar cheese. -

Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. -
