Cheesy Chicken Nuggets

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams ground chicken
  • 2 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Breadcrumbs, for coating
  • Cheese, grated (as desired)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken with the grated cheese, grated carrot, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and the bread slices that have been soaked in a little water or milk. Add one egg to the mixture and mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. Steam the Mixture: Transfer the mixture into a heatproof dish and steam it over boiling water for about 20-30 minutes, or until fully cooked. The mixture should firm up and hold its shape.

  3. Shape and Coat: Once the steamed mixture has cooled slightly, cut it into nugget-sized pieces. Dip each piece into the remaining egg (beaten) and then coat with breadcrumbs.

  4. Cook or Store: You can either fry the coated nuggets in a hot pan with a bit of oil until golden and crispy or freeze them for later use. If freezing, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze until solid. Transfer to a freezer bag or container for longer storage. When ready to use, simply fry from frozen.

  5. Serve: Enjoy these cheesy chicken nuggets as a delicious snack or appetizer. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces for added flavor.
