Ingredients:

  • 1 plum tomatoes
  • 3 zucchini
  • 1 package mozzarella cheese
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 garlic clove

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly spray a Valtrompia Bread Tube and caps with vegetable oil using a kitchen spritzer.
  3. Cap the bottom of the bread tube, then fill it with dough. Place the cap on top.
  4. Bake the tube upright for 50 to 60 minutes, then allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove the bread from the tube and let it cool completely.
  6. Cut the bread into 1/4-inch slices and place them on a 15-inch round Baking Stone.
  7. Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).
  8. Slice the tomatoes and set them aside.
  9. Thinly slice the mozzarella cheese and set it aside.
  10. Snip the fresh basil leaves.
  11. In a 1-quart bowl, combine the mayonnaise and fresh basil.
  12. Press the garlic clove into the bowl and stir until well mixed.
  13. Spread 1 tablespoon of the mayonnaise mixture over each bread slice.
  14. Top each bread slice with slices of zucchini, tomato, and mozzarella cheese.
  15. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.
