Water 1/2 cup
Curry Powder 1 tablespoon
Red Chilli Powder 1 tablespoon
Salt To taste
Britannia Cheese Block 1 cup, grated
Coriander (Dhania) Leaves A few, chopped
Lemon Juice 2 tablespoons
Butter (Salted) As required

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables:
    Begin by heating oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onions and sauté them until they soften and turn golden brown.

  2. Add Garlic and Bell Peppers:
    After the onions have reached a golden hue, add the finely chopped garlic and green bell pepper (capsicum) to the pan. Sauté everything for about 2 minutes until the bell peppers soften slightly.

  3. Cook Tomatoes and Spices:
    Add the chopped tomatoes and green chillies to the pan. Stir and cook the mixture until the tomatoes turn soft and break down. Once this is done, add the curry powder, red chilli powder, and salt to taste. Let this cook until the tomatoes are mushy, and the spices are well combined with the mixture.

  4. Add the Steamed Vegetables:
    Next, add the steamed mixed vegetables (a blend of french beans, carrots, green peas, and potatoes) to the pan. Mash the vegetables lightly with the back of a spoon to help them combine well with the spices. Stir the mixture thoroughly. If the filling appears too dry, you can add a bit of water to keep the mixture moist and prevent it from becoming too thick.

  5. Final Touches:
    Once the vegetables are cooked through and well combined with the spices, turn off the heat. Add the grated cheese, lemon juice, and fresh coriander leaves. Stir everything together until the cheese melts and the filling becomes creamy.

  6. Assemble the Rolls:
    Take the hot dog buns and carefully slit them down the middle. Remove some of the bread from the center to create a hollow space for the filling. Spoon the prepared vegetable curry into each bun, filling them generously.

  7. Toast the Rolls:
    Heat a little butter on a preheated skillet. Lightly butter both sides of the filled hot dog buns and place them on the pan. Toast the rolls for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden and crispy.
