Kazza (Kakap Pizza)

Ingredients:

  • Main Ingredients:

    • 250 grams of kakap fillet (snapper)
    • All-purpose flour
    • 1/4 red bell pepper
    • 1/4 green bell pepper
    • Grated quick melt cheese (to taste)
    • Oregano powder
    • Tomato sauce
  • Marinade Ingredients:

    • 5 cloves garlic
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper (use less for kids)
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 100 ml water
    • 100 grams all-purpose flour
    • A pinch of baking soda

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:

    • Crush the garlic cloves until fine. Combine with water, flour, and black pepper. Stir well until the flour is fully dissolved and smooth.
  2. Marinate the Fish:

    • Submerge the kakap fillet in the marinade mixture and let it sit for about 30 minutes. For best results, refrigerate it during this time.
  3. Prepare for Frying:

    • After 30 minutes, remove the fillet from the refrigerator. Add a pinch of baking soda to the marinade and mix thoroughly.
  4. Coat the Fish:

    • Coat the marinated fillet with a layer of dry all-purpose flour. Ensure that the flour evenly covers the entire surface of the fillet.
  5. Fry the Fish:

    • Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan. Fry the fillet until it turns golden brown and crispy. Drain excess oil on paper towels.
  6. Prepare the Toppings:

    • Dice the red and green bell peppers into small cubes.
  7. Assemble the Pizza:

    • Spread tomato sauce over one side of the fried fillet. Sprinkle with diced bell peppers and a generous amount of grated cheese.
